Fight Debt Collection Lawsuits

I have helped hundreds of consumers fight debt collection lawsuits, and I’ve eliminated hundreds of thousands of dollars in consumer debt.

Most consumers have a variety of defenses to debt collection lawsuits. Some defenses are strong enough to result in a dismissal of a debt collection lawsuit.

Even if the defenses will not result in a dismissal, they can you get a more good settlement. In fact, simply responding to a summons and complaint will usually provide you with leverage to reach a better settlement. Once you answer, the creditor knows they will have to spend money on litigation to obtain any money—so there is an increased incentive for them to try and settle.

How I can help

I only handle two types of cases: defending consumers sued by debt collectors, and suing abusive debt collectors when they violate federal law. Very few attorneys defend consumers in debt collection lawsuits—and even fewer handle these cases more often than me. I have handled hundreds of these cases, and I’ve eliminated hundreds of thousands of dollars in consumer debt.

I know the law, and debt collectors and debt collection lawyers know who I am. In fact, at certain debt collection lawfirms only certain attorneys are allowed to speak with me. That means they know that I am trouble.

What makes my firm different

I understand the reality of paying an attorney (spending money) to save money. That’s why my services are reasonably priced and designed to get you the most bang for your buck. I will tell you upfront if it makes more sense to hire me on a limited basis, versus paying me a larger retainer.

I almost always use flat fees, which means you will know, up-front, what it will cost to hire me. Other attorneys charge by the hour, which means you only find out how much you are spending when you get the bill. In fact, I post my fee schedule right here, on my website. In the few cases I do take hourly, I will give you an up-front estimate of the total cost.

Finally, I don’t make you pay for any more help than you need. Not everyone wants to spend thousands of dollars on a lawyer, especially when many debt collection lawsuits involve about the same amount. You can get just the help you need from me, without all the other stuff.
